Volunteers v Residents Bowling Match

Temuka Telegraph

November 2020

The residents at Enliven Wallingford Home came up with the idea of having a bowling match, residents vs staff. They had been missing their inter-resthome club challenges and so this was the next best thing.

The volunteers bought in a winners trophy to challenge for, and the match got under way.
There were a lot of laughs, as some staff members had never played bowls before. It wasn’t all fun and games though as there was also some serious stuff going on with measuring having to take place.
While this competition was going on two lambs arrived, it was feeding time, so that added to the excitement!
We had a great match, the residents won the challenge 25-9 and everyone went away happy including the lambs!
