Five years on - Temuka Exercise Group
The Temuka Exercise Group is now in it’s fifth year with member registrations reaching over sixty keen exerciser’s. The group meets every Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 10 to 11am, with a cuppa and chat afterwards.
Each session is $3, and members are free to attend one or both sessions at St Joseph’s Hall on the corner of Denmark and Wilkin streets.
The focus is on health, fun and companionship, with ages ranging from late 40’s to early 90’s, both men and women. The exercises have been approved by Sport Canterbury, has passed the ‘Live Stronger for Longer’ campaign aimed at improving balance and remaining active, and has the ‘Big Tick of Approval’ as a registered exercise group.
There is no pressure or expectation put on anyone - members are free to do as much, or as little, as they feel able.
